As a person obsessed with skincare, I have tried every other trend that presents itself including sheet masks. These particular ones from St. Ives are wonderful. They are cool and soothing, smell great without being overpowering, and do as their labels say. Inspired by Korean beauty trends, these serum-soaked wonders really do what they say they will! My favorite would have to be the soothing oatmeal one, but the glowing/revitalizing variants are both just as great. I try to mask at least once a week, and these are now my favorite to reach for 🙂

While the company earned a bad rep in the skincare community for a time, I feel these cotton sheet masks are their saving grace. I’m someone with sensitive skin and more often than not, it would react to anything synthetic. Because these masks are made of 100% cotton, and the serums they’re infused in are made of natural extracts, my skin reacted well to all three variants: Soothing, Revitalizing, and Glowing.

Soothing Oatmeal

I first tried the Soothing Oatmeal Sheet Mask, which unsurprisingly smelled like oat milk. My face smelled like breakfast, and that’s a good thing! I felt energized by it purely because of the mild but distinct scent. My skin felt soothed, I used it on a day when parts of my face felt unnecessarily dry while other parts of my face were breaking out. The key ingredient in this mask is oatmeal extract, which is known to help soothe skin. True enough, the mask helped calm my skin, and I instantly felt better. I also noticed a very nice glow once I removed the mask and smoothed the remaining serum all over.

Revitalizing Açaí, Blueberry, and Chia Seed Oil

Superfoods are all the rage, and this mask is no exception. I tried the Revitalizing Açaí, Blueberry, and Chia Seed Oil Sheet Mask next, and was not disappointed. It smelled so good, even one of my cats wanted to lick my face! After using, my skin felt super refreshed, and I went to bed so relaxed. It has amazing active ingredients, all of which have their own benefits. Açaí extract softens and revitalizes skin, blueberry extract refreshes and revives, and chia seed oil hydrates. My skin looked especially radiant after removing this sheet mask and distributing the excess serum over my face and neck.

Glowing Apricot

St. Ives is known (and has also become notorious) for their apricot fruit extract, the active ingredient in this sheet mask. While their infamous face scrub has been divisive, I can assure you this Glowing Apricot Sheet Mask is way too different. The St. Ives website didn’t give enough info about apricot fruit extract, so I did a little digging as to why it’s such a popular skincare ingredient. It turns out that it’s rich in Omega-6 fatty acids that help skin stay supple, and basically helps in keeping skin looking youthful. Perfect for the aging millennial (remember, a lot of us are in our 30s, and elder millennials are pushing 40 since last year).

At Php89 per mask and available in most retail stores and online shops (Lazada, Shopee, etc.), these St. Ives sheet masks are affordable and just as effective as many other (often pricier) sheet masks out there. They only take 10 minutes, so it’s perfect even for people on the go. And if you’re still on the fence, check out the products for FREE via Sample Room!
