Fading Stubborn Split Dye

I had a very stubborn split dye situation, wherein the dyes I used basically stained my hair and wouldn’t fade completely. To be fair, the dyes I used were very pigmented, and my hair was super damaged from a bleach mishap just a month or two prior. Meaning, my hair was fragile and porous, so what happened is called “color locking” – normally this happens when you put full strength bleach over existing color, instead of stripping it with the right products or methods.

Around this time, a local brand called Hybrid Colours had just released their hair dye remover set. They formulated it for their own brand of direct dyes, but it works pretty well with most other direct dyes.
